FAQ

The Lost Manuscript Edition has generated a number of questions.  Below are some of the most frequently asked.

Q: Has the manuscript ever been published before?

A: No. It was lost before it was ever published.  The public has never read it before.

Q:  When will ASALH publish a cloth or paperback version of Carter G. Woodson's Appeal?

A:  ASALH has no immediate plans to publish either a cloth or paperback edition.  To properly spread the word about the book, the Association needs to form partnerships that will ensure its deserved success.

Q:  What is the ISBN so that my institution can order the book?

A:  Because the limited, leather-bound edition is designed for book collectors and special collections, it is devoid of the mass-marketing features.

Q:  Is ASALH a not-for-profit organization? Will my donation by tax deductable?

A:  Yes. ASALH is a not-for-profit organization with tax-exempt status. As a 501 (c) 3 organization contributions to ASALH are tax deductable.
